Discovery Turbo, Region C & Norman J

Director Collective Norman J has created a four-spot creative package for the Discovery Turbo Channel contributing to the network design image and on-air refresh.

The animated branding spots are inspired by the Discovery Turbo’s well-known automotive programming genres which include Adrenaline/Speed, Technology, AutoMania and all motorized vehicles.

Todd Neale, Norman J’s Director said: “We loved the idea of working on evolving one of Discovery’s emerging  brands, and believe the result is a look and feel that better represents  the networks broader content, and a desire to appeal to this growing audience.”

Produced through Norman J’s US reps Region-C, under the helm of Roka Music –  Region-C’s owner and executive Producer – she added, “ With Todd and his amazing team at Norman J we saw an opportunity to take this channel identity and our approach to network packages up a significant notch.  By delivering four uniquely designed but synergistic packages, Norman J has given Turbo the tools to keep a fresh and engaging brand identity that can work with their evolving  programming and growing distribution and viewership.”

Check out the promotional stills below for some of the highlights of the package. For the complete video package, visit the Norman J website.

Fiat, Ferrari and Region C

F1 Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa took the new FIAT 500 Abarth Cabrio for a test drive just days before they raced in the Formula 1 US Grand Prix at the new Circuit of the Americas racetrack in Austin.

This spot is a collaboration with The Richards Group for client Fiat USA and aired on the jumbotron at the big race. It’s now playing at fiatusa.com/en/social.

With just 30 hours from shoot to ship, this project shows some great work by our Region C and Lollipop team. Director/ DP Ben Starkman and the rest of our crew – cheers! Editorial by our friends at Lollipop and original music from Rebirth Music.

Nissan – My Versa Road Trip Videos LIVE!

What happens when you cram 24 road trippers, 26 cities, 12 states and heaping helpings of barbecue, cupcakes and bluegrass into one subcompact car? In the case of Region-C, you get a one-of-a-kind view of life on the road for the new Nissan Versa.

This week, global powerhouse TBWA\Chiat\Day launched a series of Region-C produced videos for the 2012 Nissan Versa. Appearing on the award-winning MyVersaRoadTrip.com, the videos follow six contest winners as they enjoy epically awesome road trips featuring their new Nissan Versas, their closest friends and even the occasional inflatable alien.

“This was the perfect project for Region-C,” said Region-C producer Roka Music. “It encapsulates everything we love: collaboration, strategy and 24-hour roadside dining.”

The true-to-life videos were shot over two action-packed weeks by Region-C directors Ben Starkman and Mike Angelo Torres. The directors and their crews literally went coast-to-coast, covering more than 3,000 miles and logging over 240 hours on the open road. Ben and Mike would like to point out that none of this would have been possible without the support of a fine production and editorial team that included Joe Kriksciun, Bryan Wetzel, Joe Ashe, Meredith DeLeon, Ashlee Cohen, Ronan Nagel and Fred Daniel.

“It was an amazing experience that captured the freedom and exuberance of the open road while paying tribute to TBWA\Chiat\Day’s brilliant broadcast spots,” said Starkman.

Check out the videos for yourself at MyVersaRoadTrip.com.
